About me
I have
two children. Jake is in the seventh grade at BMS;
he loves playing basketball, and being in the
CAP and boy scouts. Erica is in the fifth grade at
BIS;
she enjoys reading, swimming, and play
acting. We have a puppy named Roscoe and
two cats; Pooch and Flash.
I
attended Snead State where I graduated in 1988
with an Associates Degree. My first taste of
being away from home was at Jacksonville State
University where I received my Bachelor's Degree
in Elementary Education for grades 1-6 in 1991.
I taught second grade, third grade, title one
math and reading for grades K-2, and even P.E.
grades K-8. I then went back to school at the
University of Alabama and earned a Master's
Degree in Collaborative Special Education grades
7-12 in December of 2000. In April, 2005 I
completed my Educational Specialist Degree in
Special Education for grades K-12 from
Jacksonville State University. I have also
completed a certification program at the
University of Alabama to be Highly Qualified to
teach gifted in grades K-12 in June of 2006.
